Participants will have a chance to voice their concerns, raise questions and learn how to apply for available seats from a panel of experienced community leaders. The
event will feature a variety of locally notable speakers including Santa Rosa Mayor Ernesto Olivares and 5th District Supervisor Efren Carrillo.
Developed by several local non-profits, county departments and county chapters of state and national organizations, RUN was created to help increase ethnic diversity and the current pool of female candidates in Sonoma County. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 21 in the main building at Empire College.
